Steponas Algirdas Dačkevičius – poet, prose writer.
He was born 7 October, 1952 in Pužai, Raseiniai district.
He attended Nemakščiai Secondary school. He wrote articles for the local newspaper “Naujas rytas”, he also wrote short stories and later – poems. From 1971 till 1975 he studied Lithuanian language and literature at Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute. He was a head of Literature coterie and published his poems in local press. After his studies he worked as a journalist. From 1982 till 1986 he worked as an editor’s assistant at “Artojas” newspaper and from 1998 until now he works as an editor at “Kalvotoji Žemaitija” newspaper. He is a member of Telšiai club “Lions”. His work is published in various anthologies and collections.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2006.
