Valiukas Mindaugas
Mindaugas Valiukas – poet, playwright, prose writer, director, actor, singer.
He was born 15 June, 1976 in Arnionys village, Molėtai district.
From 2005 he works as theater teacher and director at Klaipėda Youth Center “Aušra”, where he staged more than 10 plays and films, he wrote around 10 plays and film scripts. He participates in international theater festivals in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. In 2008-2009 he worked as an editor of culture portal www.kulturpolis.lt. He is the front man of rock band “Kaukolės”. He is one of the organizers of the “Placdarmas” festival. In 2012 he released his solo album “Be pavadinimo”.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2011.

1996 Laureate of P. Lembertas competition.
1999 Zigmas Gėlė-Gaidamavičius award for the best poetry debut of the year.
2011 Winner of 4th International Haiku in Russian language competition.
2013 Play “Šalia” was awarded during the International Puppet Theater Festival “Karakumų asilėlis” as the best play of the festival.
