Bronius Raguotis – literary scholar and critic.
He was born 18 September, 1929 in Kaunas.
After school he worked at editorial office of newspaper “Tiesa” (1950-1963). In 1954 he finished his studies of journalism at Vilnius University and gave lectures there during the years of 1954-1994. He got his Docent degree in 1974. In 1984-1985 he was in charge of the Journalistic Department of VU and from 1985 till 1991 he was in charge of the Press Journalistic Department of VU. He gave lectures on history of Lithuanian journalism and later on history of communist press, critics of literature and art, theory of journalistic work, etc. He was one of the authors who wrote articles for “Žurnalistikos enciklopedija” and “Visuotinė lietuvių enciklopedija”. A member of Lithuanian Journalists’ Union since 1957. In 2006-2011 He gave special lectures on history of journalism at Vilnius University.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1971.
