Petrošius Donatas
Donatas Petrošius – poet, essayist.
He was born 28 November, 1978 in Bijotai, Šilalė district.
In 2005 he finished his studies of Lithuanian language and literature and got his Master’s degree at Vilnius Pedagogical University. He worked as a journalist in various editorial offices. From 2011 till 2014 he was a board member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union and a coordinator of international programs. His first poems appeared in cultural press in 2001 and has been published in different collections and anthologies (“Poezijos pavasaris”, “Poetinis Druskininkų ruduo”, “Žiemos žodžiai”, “Žiema ir mirtis”, “Žosmė”, “Literatūrinės Vilniaus slinktys”, “Magnus Ducatus Poesis”, etc.). He participated in several literary festivals in Gothenburg, Punsk, Ventspils, Ryga, Jelgava, London, Minsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow. His poems are translated into English, Latvian, Russian, Swedish, Polish, Catalan, German, Romanian, Belorussian, Ukrainian, Georgian and Bulgarian languages.
Member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2010.
