Paliulytė Sonata
Sonata Paliulytė – poetess, translator.
She was born 3 August, 1968 in Kaunas.
She finished J. Jablonskis Secondary school in Kaunas. She studied and worked at Kaunas Youth Music Studio. She got her specialty of an actress at Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2003 (extramural studies). In 1996 she moved to Vilnius. Her debut as a poetess was in 2002 in magazine “Metai”. Her poems have been included into various almanacks and anthologies (“Poezijos pavasaris”, “Žiemos žodžiai”, “How the Earth Carries Us: New Lithuanian Poets”, “Poezijos signalai”, etc.) as well as translated into English, Albanian, Czech, Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Slovene, Swedish and other languages.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2013
