Marcinkevičiūtė Tautvyda
Tautvyda Marcinkevičiūtė-Patackienė – poetess, translator.
She was born 31 July, 1955 in Kaunas.
In 1979 she finished her studies of English language and literature at Vilnius University. After her studies she worked as a guide at Kaunas Travel bureau for 10 years. In 1978 her first publication of poems appeared in “Nemunas” magazine. Her first book of poetry was published in 1984. Her poems were translated into English and published in USA magazines “Nimrod”, “Northwest Review”, “The Drunken Boat”, “The Dirty Goat” and “The Literary Review”. Her poems are also translated into German, Russian, Bulgarian, Latvian, Georgian, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and other languages.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1991.
