Kudarauskaitė Marija Meilė
Marija Meilė Kudarauskaitė – poetess.
She was born 15 August, 1932 in Klausgalvai, Kretinga district.
In 1950 she finished Dusėtai Secondary school. In 1953 she graduated from Drama studio near National Drama Theater. In 1955 she finished her studies of Lithuanian language and literature at Vilnius University. In 1975 graduated from The Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography in Leningrad (St. Petersburg). During the years of 1953-1960 she was an actress at drama theaters in Vilnius and Kaunas. From 1960 till 1963 she worked as the head of repertoire department at Lithuanian Folk Palace. She gave lectures at Vilnius Pedagogical Institute in 1963-1970. Then she gave lectures at Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre for several decades.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1985.
