Krasnovas Aleksandras
Aleksandras Krasnovas – literary scholar and critic, translator.
He was born 3 November, 1948 in Šiurpiškės, Zarasai district.
In 1973 he graduated from Vilnius University, Kaunas Evening Faculty and acquired a specialty of a teacher of Lithuanian language. He worked at editorial office of “Literatūra ir menas”, Institute of Lithuanian Language and Literature, publishing house “Vaga” as editor’s assistant, then as an editor in chief and head (1984-1996). From 1996 he was an accountable secretary of Book Publishing Association. In 1998-2001 he was the head of publishing house “Mintis”. In 2001-2008 he worked at Vilnius University, Kaunas Faculty of Humanities.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1983.
