Keys Kerry Shawn
Kerry Shawn Keys – poet, prose writer, translator.
He was born 25 June, 1946 in Pennsylvania, USA.
In 1970 he finished his studies of English literature at Pennsylvania University and got his Master’s degree at Indiana University in 1973. From 1974 till 1978 he lived in Rio de Janeiro, worked as a teacher and translator. Later he came back to Pennsylvania where he gave lectures on forestry and English language. He has worked different jobs: as a guide, postman, in a bookstore, at steel factory, etc. He has found a publishing house “Pine Press”. His first visit to Lithuania was in 1996. He lives in Vilnius since 1998. He gave lectures on English language and translation theory at Vilnius University and Vilnius Pedagogical University.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2002.
