Jekentaitė Julija
Julija Jekentaitė-Aleksandravičienė – poetess.
She was born 10 July, 1942 in Veršiai, Lazdijai district.
In 1960 she finished Leipalingis Secondary school and in 1967 she graduated from Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine. After her studies she worked at Druskininkai Hospital and later, at sanatorium “Eglė”. Her debut was in 1973 in magazine “Jaunimo gretos”. She has published poems in various collections, anthologies and almanacks (“Poezijos pavasaris”, “Poetinis Druskininkų ruduo”, “Naujasis židinys”, “Katalikų pasaulis”, “Šiaurės Atėnai”, “Kultūros barai”, “Metai”, “Literatūra ir menas”, etc.).
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1991.
