Jegelevičius Alvydas Augustinas
Alvydas Augustinas Jegelevičius – poet.
He was born 3 October, 1949 in Alytus.
In 1967 he finished 1st Secondary school in Alytus. He studied at Alytus Music School in violin class and later he acquired a specialty of a choir conductor and music teacher at Vilnius J. Tallat-Kelpša Higher Music school. He studied at Vilnius Conservatoire. From 1970 he was in charge of Alytus post band “Aisčiai”. He started his professional career in 1973 at ensemble “Estradinės melodijos” as solo singer. From 1975 till 1977 he was the head of “Vilniaus aidai”. He also worked with orchestra of National Radio and Television, concert group “Trimitas”, with Lithuanian theaters and jazz singers. In 1988-1995 he was in charge of music at Vilnius theater “Sietynas”. From 1997 he is a composer, pianist and music producer. Leader of “Gedimino vyrai” ensemble. He is the founder of Amber Jazz Trio.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2013.
