Jablonskaja Tamara
Tamara Jablonskaja – poetess, prose writer.
She was born 21 May, 1947 in Vilnius.
She finished 17th Secondary school in Vilnius. Her first poems appeared in Moscow magazine when she was in last grade at school. In 1965 she went to work at railroad building (Obozerskaja – Sorokskaja), worked in Arkhangelsk and Vorkuta. There she got involved in literature life; her poems were published in literary press. In 1966 she came back to Vilnius and worked at Vilnius Canning Bureau. The same year she started her studies of philosophy at St. Petersburg University and finished her studies in 1973 and got her degree in philosophy. After she came back to Vilnius she worked as a lecturer for some time and then since 1983 she works at National M. Mažvydas Library, in Publishing department.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2004.
