Vytautas Čepas – prose writer, essayist.
He was born 17 October, 1948 in Šiauliai.
In 1967 he finished 1st Biržai Secondary School. In 1976 he finished his studies of Psychology at Vilnius University. He worked as an inspector at Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania and later as a psychologist at Klaipėda Red Cross Hospital. He taught psychology from 1978 till 1990 at Klaipėda at third level education schools. He got his Doctor’s degree in Psychology in 1986. From 1995 he worked at different jobs: as a manager of a bank branch, companies representative to the press, project manager, moderator of discussions. Now he gives lectures on Psychology at Klaipėda University. During the years of 1996–2000 and 2004–2008 he was a member of Lithuanian Parliament.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2009.
