Ališauskas Arnas
Arnas Ališauskas – poet, literary critic.
Was born on 18 December, 1970 in Širvintos.
From 1991 till 1995 he was studying Lithuanian philology at Vilnius University. He worked as a reviewer at “Literatūra ir menas” weekly (1994–1996) and at daily newspaper “Lietuvos rytas” (1997 – 1999). From 1999 till 2003 he was working as an editor in the Office of the President of the Republic of Lithuania. 2004 – 2009 he worked as a referent of the President of the Republic of Lithuania. 2008 – 2012 he worked as elder specialist in the Department of History and Commemoration of Parliamentarian. Also from 2003 he was writing scripts for TV shows “Ragai”, “Dviračio šou”, “Dar pažiūrėsim!”, “Ateities lyderiai”, “Mūsų laisvės metai” and etc. He has written over 200 texts for songs and theatre. Since 2014 he has been working at the Lithuanian Writers’ Union publishing house and since 2015 he is the editor in chief. His work is translated into English, German, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Belorussian, Polish and other languages.
He is a member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1998.
