Šileika Ričardas

Ričardas Šileika – poet, prose writer.
He was born 3 April, 1968 in Atkočiai, Ukmergė district.
He studied at Vilnius Culture and Household Work School. He worked as a journalist and photographer at press of Kupiškis, Jonava and Radviliškis. He worked at a Police Department of Radviliškis district as a senior expert. Now he gives lectures at Vilnius Academy of Arts and also collaborates with cultural press (“Literatūra ir menas”, “Šiaurės Atėnai”, “Kultūros barai”, “Nemunas”, etc.). He is an active participant of literary festivals and events. His works have been published in various almanacks and collections.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1994.
