Antanas Šimkus – poet.
He was born 5 April, 1977 in Vilnius.
In 1995 he finished M. Daukša Secondary school in Vilnius.
In 1995-2000 he studied Lithuanian language and literature at Vilnius Pedagogical University. He got his Master’s degree in 2010. In 2014 he entered into a joint Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences and Mykolas Romeris University philological type doctoral studies. In 2004-2009 he worked as an editor at “Literatūra ir menas”. From 2009 till 2015 he was an editor of culture themes at “bernardinai.lt”. He is an editor in chief of monthly magazine “Metai” since 2015.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2010.
