Marčėnas Rimantas

Rimantas Marčėnas – prose writer.
He was born 4 April, 1937 in Marijampolė.
He finished K. Donelaitis Secondary school in Klaipėda and in 1960 he finished his studies of history at Vilnius University. He gave lectures at Vilnius University, Kaunas Evening Faculty and later he was in charge of History Department at Vytautas Magnus University. In 2001-2006 he was in charge of Lithuanian language Department of Kaunas University of Technology, Faculty of Humanities. He has a Doctoral degree. His debut in cultural press was in 1967.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1992.
