Mikulėnaitė Ema

Ema Mikulėnaitė – prose writer, playwright.
She was born 29 November, 1935 in Musteikiai, Utena district.
She graduated from Tauragnai Pre-gymnasium in 1950, Švenčionys Pedagogical school in 1954 and Vilnius University in 1961. From 1954 till 1956 she worked as a teacher at Skaudvilė. In 1962-1964 she worked as a corrector at publishing house “Mintis”. From 1964 till 1966 she worked at Vilnius University, Department of Philosophy. From 1966 till 1971 she worked as an editor of theater section at “Kultūros barai”. During the years of 1973-1974 and 1975-1977 she was a member of editorial board at LSSR Ministry of Culture. Her debut in cultural press was in 1962.
A member of Lithuanian Writers' Union since 1973.
