Birutė Marcinkevičiūtė (pseudonym: Birutė Mar) – poetess, prose writer.
She was born 23 March, 1969 in Kaunas.
She studied at Juozas Naujelis art school and in 1993 she finished her studies at St. Petersburg Theater Academy. She had an internship at R. Fon Laban Dance Center in London in 1993 and in 1999 in International Theater school in Denmark. In 1997-1998 she studied traditional Japanese dance in Tokyo. She also had internship in Greece, Cyprus. She is an actress in National Drama Theater since 1994.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2000.
