Vanda Juknaitė-Baltrūnienė – prose writer, playwright, essayist.
She was born 28 November, 1949 in Papiliai, Rokiškis district.
In 1972 she finished studies of the Lithuanian language and literature at Vilnius University. After her studies, she worked as a teacher and gave lectures at Klaipėda Conservatoire. Since 1975 she gives lectures at Vilnius Pedagogical Institute. She has a degree of a professor. She cooperates with cultural press. Her prose has been translated into English, Latvian, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Hebrew and German languages.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1990.
