Jonas Jackevičius – poet.
He was born 2 May, 1937 in Rokiškis.
In 1955 he finished 7th Secondary school of Vilnius. In 1960 he finished his studies of Lithuanian language and literature at Vilnius University. He worked at Šalčininkai district newspaper, at Books Trading Board and at the Coordination Committee of Scientific Researches. In 1964-1984 he worked at the Lithuanian Television and Radio as a reporter, screenwriter, broadcast presenter and editor. He also gave lectures in Department of Journalism at Vilnius University. He is a member of artist's club “Plekšnė”.
A member of Lithuanian Writers' Union since 2000.
